6th – If making a contribution to your
2011 IRA, deposit by today to make sure it counts for 2012.
12th – Tax freedom day. You are no done paying Uncle Sam and start working to pay yourself.
15th – Champagne is cold but it needs to age for two more days.
16th – Since DC has
Emancipation Day on April 16, the 17th is the last day to file a tax return. But at Apex Tax Advisors, the 16th is the end.

21st – We start to celebrate the holidays. Limited office hours until
January.

Festivus!!! We have plenty of grievances.
31st - Last day to pay deductible expenses for the
2012 return (doesn’t apply to IRA, SEP or Keogh contributions, all of which can be made after December 31,
2012).
If you turned 70½ before 2012, last day to withdraw required minimum distribution from your Traditional IRA and avoid a penalty.
